Natalie Taylor began dancing at age 5 in Las Vegas, continuing her studies at Colorado Ballet. After graduating from the Academy, Natalie danced for Colorado Ballet for over a year. She then moved to New York, where she continued to study dance, and discovered Gyrotonic, which greatly influenced
her style and approach to dance.
Natalie now teaches Gyrotonic and Pilates in Denver, while creating performances under her production company, icedfacade. Her works have included Another Antarctica (2003), Electro Lunch Box Opera (2004), Meet My EYE: The Mad Molecule, (2005),which premiered at the Bug Theater in Denver. Last summer she was commissioned by the Museum of Outdoor Arts to create a some stage production. She also danced 8 roles in David Taylor’s Production of the Nutcracker winter (2006) Whenever possible she works with the DICP. Her productions are a unique collaboration of dance, theater, music, performance art, and film. In addition, Natalie has presented performance art pieces in art galleries and Forest Room 5, and is the mastermind behind the Lip Print Track Stars, a debaucher’s experimental avant-garde design girl-sculpting performance art show.
Natalie’s choreography places an emphasis on honest experiences, creating shape and understanding through the human earth suit: The Body.
